Returns & Exchange Policy
We hope your Sunday Story pieces bring you as much joy as the stories behind them.
If something doesn’t fit quite right or just isn’t you, no stress - we’ve got you. We happily accept returns, exchanges, and refunds within 14 days of delivery.
Choose a refund and we’ll take care of the rest. Just make sure your items are unworn, unwashed, and sent back with their original tags and in their original packaging.
Please note, we charge a ₹100 return shipping fee which will be deducted from your refund amount (not applicable to exchanges).
Can I Return/Exchange My Order? What Are The Conditions?
Returns/Exchanges are accepted within 14 days of delivery for eligible items. The 14-day period starts from the date the order is delivered to you. To be eligible for a return/exchange, items must meet the conditions listed below:
1. Items must be unused, unwashed, and in the same condition that you received them.
2. All original trims, tags and labels must be intact and attached.
3. Please send back your item in the same packaging it was delivered in to ensure safe transit during the return. Failure to do so will result in a ₹100 charge, which will be deducted from your refund, if applicable.
3. Items showing signs of wear, makeup, odours, or damage may be rejected.
4. If the product purchased has gone on discount after your purchase, no refund will be issued for the price difference during the exchange process.
Please allow 1–2 business days for return inspection and approval, followed by an additional 1–2 business days for the refund to be processed.
Please note that a ₹100 charge is applicable on all return orders and will be deducted from the final refund amount. This charge is not applied on exchanges.
Note: All returns are subject to inspection. Once we receive and verify the item’s condition, we’ll notify you and process your refund or exchange.
What's Your Refund Policy?
Please allow 1–2 business days for return inspection and approval, plus an additional 1–2 business days for the refund to be processed.
- All refunds are processed only after inspection and approval of the returned garments is complete.
- All refunds are processed via UPI. Once your return request is registered, our team will reach out to confirm the UPI ID/phone number you'd like the refund processed to.
- We also offer the option to process refunds via bank transfer upon request.
Please note that a ₹100 return charge is applicable on all return orders and will be deducted from the final refund amount. This charge is not applicable on exchanges.

How Do I Prepare My Item For Return?
To ensure safe transit and a successful return, please ensure the following:
- Items must be unused, unwashed, and in the same condition that you received them
- All original trims, tags, and labels must be intact and attached
- The item must be returned in the original packaging it was delivered in. Failure to do so will result in a ₹100 charge being deducted from your refund, if applicable
- Items showing signs of wear, makeup, odours, stains, or damage may not qualify for a refund or exchange
Are There Any Items I Can’t Return/Exchange?
The following are not eligible for return/exchange:
1. Digital gift cards (non-refundable)
2. Items clearly marked “final sale” or “non-returnable” on the product page
3. Personalised or made-to-order items (if applicable)
4. Accessories or small items explicitly excluded on the product page
How Do I Start a Return or Exchange?
Log into your Sunday Story account, go to My Orders, select the order and follow the Return/Exchange steps;

What If My Order Arrives Damaged or Faulty?
If your product is faulty, damaged in transit, or incorrect, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos and your order details. We will investigate and, if validated, offer a replacement or full refund.
What if My Exchange/Return is Not Approved?
An exchange request may be declined if the returned item:
- Is used or washed
- Is not in the same condition as received
- Is missing original tags, labels, or packaging
- Shows signs of wear, makeup stains, odours, or damage
If an exchange is not approved due to any of the above reasons, our team will reach out to you via email and/or WhatsApp to confirm whether you would like the product to be sent back to you.
If you choose to have the item returned, a shipping fee will be applicable as follows:
- Metro Cities: ₹150
- Non-Metro Cities (excluding North East & J&K): ₹200
- North East & J&K: ₹250
Please note that the return process for the rejected item will only begin once the shipping fee is paid. If the customer does not opt to have the item shipped back, Sunday Story reserves the right to dispose of the product as deemed appropriate.
A Note on Returning Products Bought with a Bundle Discount
For purchases made using bundle or cart-value offers (e.g., discounts unlocked on spending ₹8,000 or more), refunds will be adjusted if the original bundle conditions are no longer met due to a partial return.
How it works:
- If you purchased multiple items to qualify for a bundle discount and return one or more of those items, the discount benefit applied to the remaining product(s) will be reversed.
- The refund amount will reflect the original (pre-bundle-discount) price of the returned item, after adjusting for the benefit availed.
Example:
If you purchased two items worth ₹4,000 each (₹8,000 total) and received a bundle discount bringing each item to ₹3,800, and you return one item — your refund will be ₹3,600 (after reversing the bundle benefit), not ₹3,800.
Alternatively, you may opt to receive a store credit/gift card for the full amount paid for the returned item (₹3,800 in this example).
Important notes:
- This applies only to bundle/cart-value discounts and only in cases of refunds.
- Exchanges on bundled items are not affected and can be done without any adjustment.
- Other discounts or promotions are not impacted by this policy.
This is to ensure fair use of bundle offers, which are applied based on specific purchase conditions.

Condition of Returns: Returned items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags and packaging intact. Items that don’t meet these requirements may not be accepted.
Price Changes & Discounts: If the product purchased has gone on discount after your purchase, no refund will be issued for the price difference during the exchange process.
Return Shipping fee: a ₹100 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
Multiple Returns: If you return multiple orders or items separately, please ensure each has its corresponding order details for accurate processing.
Processing Times: Refunds or exchanges are processed only after the returned item passes our quality check. Please allow 1-2 business days for the refund to reflect once approved.
Exchange Availability: Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the requested size or item is unavailable, we will issue a refund or store credit.
Gift Cards: Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Promotional & Sale Items: Items purchased during sales or with discounts may have different return eligibility - please check the product page for details.
Courier Delays: Sunday Story is not liable for delays caused by courier or logistics partners once your order has been dispatched.
Policy Updates: Sunday Story reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time. The version available on our website will always reflect the most current terms.
Unapproved Exchanges: In cases where an exchange request is not approved due to the returned item not meeting our exchange criteria (such as being used, washed, damaged, or missing tags/packaging), our team will reach out to you to confirm whether you would like the item to be sent back to you. If you choose to have the product returned, a shipping fee will be applicable as per the following:
- Metro Cities: ₹100
- Non-Metro Cities (excluding North East & J&K): ₹150
- North East & J&K: ₹200
